The Practice Nurse works part-time, Tuesdays all day and Wednesday - Friday mornings. Her duties include chronic disease management such as COPD, diabetes, epilepsy, heart disease, stroke and thyroid along with smears, ECGs, BPs, bloods, injections, immunisations, dressings etc.
The Practice Healthcare Assistant normally works for part of each morning Monday to Friday.
Alison McKenzieThe Practice Manager is involved in strategically managing the business aspects of the Practice such as: making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, patient safety, human resources, finance, premises and equipment, and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Diane WatsonThe Office Manager is involved in managing the day-to-day operations of the Practice and supports the Practice Manager to implement and monitor the systems and processes that are put in place.
Medical Administrators provide an important link for patients with the Practice and are your initial point of contact for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.
Administrators make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and Nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, processing electronic patient communications, keeping patient records up-to-date and carrying out searches and Practice audits.
Janice PeddieA Health Visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Community District Nursing TeamThe Community Nursing Team are employed by the Health Board, providing some treatment room services as well as assessment and care in patients' homes. They are based at the Health Centre on Dean Road and their time is allocated to our Practice based on its size.
